Anonymous. Gloriously overconfident. Sees all, explains nothing — but is, however, willing to speculate wildly.
The Author is a satirist who files the trivial trending nonsense of the day as urgent historical dispatches from the slow-motion collapse of civilisation. He treats silly things with cosmic gravity and grave things with a shrug. Nobody knows who he is — a teenager in his parents' basement, an undercover billionaire, a tenured professor avoiding his inbox. The anonymity is the point.
Everything here is satire: invented experts, fake-precise statistics and imaginary institutions, wrapped around a factually accurate account of what actually happened.
